Richard Schott is the Senior Chief of the Parent and Provider Services Department for Child Care Aware® of America, a nonprofit association whose mission is to lead state and national initiatives that ensure every child has access to high-quality child care and early learning experiences. The Parent and Provider Services Department provides consumer education and referrals for child care services, and manages the Child Care Subsidy and Exceptional Family Member/Respite Care Programs our military services/clients.
Prior to Child Care Aware® of America, Schott served as the Executive Vice President for Operations at an IT startup company, and prior to that he worked as the Vice President of Special Projects and DoD Programs for Organizational Strategies, Inc. He also served over 25 years in the Marine Corps, retiring as a Colonel in 2008.
Schott holds a master’s degree in National Security and Strategy from the Naval War College, and a bachelor’s degree in Political Science from the United States Naval Academy. He is also a Certified Project Management Professional (PMP).
Schott joined Child Care Aware® of America as Senior Chief of Parent and Provider Services in 2013.
